Questions, answered

Everything you might want to know before reaching out — fees and insurance, how sessions work, who Joselyn helps, and how your privacy is protected. If your question is not here, we are glad to answer it directly.

Getting Started

How do I book a first session?

Use the Request an Appointment button anywhere on the site to open our secure client portal and pick from the times the office has open, or call 330-203-1559. Tell us a little about what you are looking for and when you tend to be free, and we will confirm a time that fits — a real person here, never a call center.

Do I need a referral to start?

No. You do not need a referral from a physician or an insurance company to begin — whether you are using insurance or paying out of pocket. You can reach out directly and start whenever you are ready.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is about understanding what brought you in, what you are hoping will be different, and whether this feels like the right fit. We work from a Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Solution-Focused approach, so even the first meeting tends to be practical and forward-looking rather than only intake paperwork. There is no pressure to have it all figured out before you arrive.

How will I know if this is the right fit?

Fit matters more than almost anything else in therapy, and the first session is partly there to help you feel it out. You are welcome to ask questions about how we work, what to expect, and whether our approach suits what you are going through. If it is not the right match, we will gladly help point you toward someone who is.

How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?

A standard session runs about 30–60 minutes. How often you meet depends on what is going on and what you want to work toward — many people begin weekly and space sessions out as things steady. You and your therapist decide the rhythm together; nothing is locked in.

How long does therapy usually last?

There is no fixed course. A Solution-Focused approach is built around your goals, so some people come for a few focused sessions and others stay longer for deeper or ongoing work. You are in control of how long you continue, and it is a conversation you and your therapist revisit together.

Fees & Payment

Do you accept insurance?

Yes — we accept many major insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Medical Mutual, and UnitedHealthcare and others, and we also accept Medicare and Medicaid. Our billing team files claims with your insurer directly. If your plan is not one we are in-network with, see the next question for how a superbill can help. Current self-pay rates are on the Fees & Payment page.

What are your session fees?

For clients who prefer to pay out of pocket, or whose plan is not in-network with us, the first (longer) session is $145, and each session after is $135. Full current rates are on the Fees & Payment page.

When is payment due, and what methods do you accept?

Payment is due in full at each visit, before the session. We accept cash, check, and credit card. If cost is a concern, ask about discounted prepaid packages — it is a normal thing to bring up.

Can I get reimbursed by my insurance?

If your plan is not one we are in-network with, we provide a detailed receipt (a “superbill”) that you can submit to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement — and we are here to help you gather what you need to file it. Reimbursement rates vary by plan, so it is worth calling the number on your insurance card to ask about out-of-network coverage for outpatient behavioral health.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under the federal No Surprises Act, if you are uninsured or paying out of pocket, you have the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of what your care is expected to cost before you begin. Just ask, and one will be provided. The details are in our Terms of Use.

Do you offer prepaid packages?

Yes — discounted prepaid packages are available for clients who know they will be coming for a series of sessions. Ask about current package pricing when you reach out.

What is your cancellation and no-show policy?

A $75 fee applies to a missed appointment or a cancellation made without adequate notice. Life happens — if you need to reschedule, just call or send a message as early as you can and we will do our best to find another time.

Who We Help & How

What ages do you work with?

We work with clients ages 7 and above — children, teens, adults, couples, and families across every phase of life.

Who do you work with?

Individuals, couples, and families, including children and teens. Support is offered through individual, couples, family, and group work — whichever fits what you are carrying right now.

What kinds of concerns can therapy help with?

People come in for stress and anxiety, relationship and family challenges, self-esteem, life transitions, grief, and the ordinary and extraordinary weight of everyday life. You do not need to be in crisis or have a diagnosis to benefit — wanting things to feel different is reason enough. You can see more of the areas we work with on the services pages.

What therapeutic approach do you use?

We draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused therapy — practical, goal-oriented approaches that connect how we think, feel, and act to the changes you want to make. We tailor the work to you rather than fitting you to a single method.

Do you offer therapy in Spanish?

Sí. Servicios disponibles en español. We provide therapy in both English and Spanish, so you can do this work in the language you feel most yourself in.

Do you prescribe medication?

No. Our clinicians provide psychotherapy, not medication. If medication might be helpful, your therapist can coordinate with your primary care physician or a psychiatric prescriber so your care stays connected.

Telehealth & Office

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes. Teletherapy sessions run over a secured video network and are available anywhere in Ohio, so you can meet from home, from work on a break, or wherever you have privacy and a stable connection.

How does a telehealth session work, and what do I need?

You will receive a secure link before your appointment. All you need is a private space, a device with a camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection. It works much like an in-person session — same hour, same confidentiality, just from wherever you are.

Do I have to live in Ohio to work with you?

You need to be physically located in Ohio during your session. Our clinicians are licensed in Ohio, and that license governs where care can be provided — so both in-person and telehealth sessions are for clients in Ohio.

Where is the office located?

The office is at 3653 Darrow Rd, Ste 5, Stow, OH 44224. Directions and a map are on the Contact page.

What are your hours?

The office holds sessions Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. — including evenings and weekends, which are often the hardest times to find care. Open times within those hours vary as the calendar fills, so the client portal shows what is currently available; if nothing fits, a quick call usually can. Teletherapy can sometimes flex further on request, based on availability.

Privacy & Safety

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. What you share in therapy is protected and kept confidential, with a small number of legally required exceptions — such as a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else — that your therapist will explain plainly at the start. You can read exactly how your information is handled in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

How is my personal information protected?

We use website analytics and marketing tools — currently Google Analytics, including its advertising and measurement features — to understand how people find and use the site and to improve and promote the practice, and you can opt out anytime from the cookie banner or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. We never hand these tools anything sensitive: not your name, not your contact details, and nothing about your health or the reasons you might reach out — and we never sell your information. The contact form is used only to reach you back, and clinical records are kept under the protections described in our Notice of Privacy Practices and Privacy Policy.

What should I do in a crisis or emergency?

Quez Therapeutic Solutions is not a crisis service and cannot respond to emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. To reach a trained counselor any time, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, free and confidential, 24/7), or text HOME to 741741. When you are safe, we are here for what comes next.
